IMO The most important thing for loudness is speaker efficiency (also labeled sensitivity) the higher this number the louder the output. You may see that you have to go a notch higher on the master volume but by the time your up around 5 or 6 the walls will be shaking. (Every doubling of power results in 3dB more output) From experience with all 3 cabinets I doubt you will ever notice a difference between 4 and 8 and the 16 will only be slightly lower than a 4, and I cant get this thing that loud without my ears bleeding. So even with a 16 ohm cab you'll only be 3dB less than what you get at 4 ohm. The manual for this amp states the output of this amp as 100w 4ohm, 80w 8 ohm and 50w 16 ohm. Dont stress out too much about trying to get to a 4 ohm load. I have this same amp and I've hooked it up to 4, 8 and 16 ohm cabinets.
